Troop 321 is an American Legion Chartered Boy Scout Troop located in Mission Viejo, California.

Troop meetings are held weekly each Wednesday from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm at Del Cerro Elementary School.

Cub Scout Day Camp

Cub Scout Day Camp registration is open!

Day Camp this year will be June 19th-23rd at O’Neill park. Sessions are 8:00-1:30 or 2:30-8:00.

This is a great and FUN way to earn service hours!

Order of the Arrow Elections March 1st, 2017

The Order of the Arrow (OA) is most commonly known as the National Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America. A more clear definition would be that the society was created to honor Scouts that best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law. It bestows recognition on Scouts selected by their peers as best exemplifying the ideals of Scouting. We need the majority of our Scouts to turnout for the election. Please attend and support our candidates.The Troop has confirmed that we have 3 eligible and interested candidates for OA: Cole Moore, Bud Mendoza, & Jeremiah Strauss.

Rae Lakes Loop

Rae Lakes Loop Crew,

I have reviewed the schedule again and made a few adjustments to what I believe is the best schedule that minimizes the time from office and maximizes time on the trail. Note is slightly different from what was discussed:

 Saturday, 15 JUL 2017 we depart Mission Viejo at 0530 Hours
 Sunday, 16JUL2017 we start hike and travel 5.7 miles to Lower Paradise 
 Monday, 17JUL2017 we hike 10 miles to Woods Creek Crossing 
 Tuesday 18JUL17 we hike 7 miles to Rae Lakes
 Wednesday 19JUL17 is a layover at Rae Lakes
 Thursday 20JUL17 we hike 5.5 miles to Videte Meadows
 Friday 21JUL17 we hike 5.7 miles to Charlotte Creek
 Saturday 22JUL17 we hike 7.5 miles to Roads End
 Sunday 23JUL17 we drive Home

We currently have the following 13 Scouts and Adults who expressed interest: Daniel Monaghan, Michael Monaghan, Dave Giglio, Jeremy Giglio, Ward Tenner, Wyatt Tenner Scott Atha, Connor Atha, Matthew Lawson, Andrew Zertuche, Danny Zertuche, Connor Frankenburg, Rich Frankenburg

Andrej and April will work their own itinerary independent of our crew. 

We have room for two more people on the roster. 

The permit fee is $10.00 per group and $5.00 per person. To secure your seat on the roster, please plan on making your NON-REFUNDABLE cash payment of $6.00 per person at next Wednesday’s Troop Meeting, 22FEB17. 

All participants will agree to attend two Mandatory Prep Hike Events: May 20-21 Little Jimmy’s and JUN 03-04 Little Bear Springs. And the MANDATORY Equipment Shakedown on 10JUL17. 
All participants agree they will have ALL required equipment at their personal expense (this is a safety imperative). A detailed equipment list is included in the spreadsheet. The troop provides the backpacking tent, water filtration and camp stoves. 

Additional expenses are yet to be determined but will include such things as Trail Food for trek and prep events, transportation expense (Gas Money), camp site expense for first and last night (not on trail), souvenir expenses, etc. 

The crew will need two individuals to be Wilderness First Aid and CPR Certified.

We will conduct this trek in strict accordance to BSA policy, therefore, all participants will agree to complete a physical and have the Philmont Physical Report completed by your personal physician no later than . A height / Weight table provided by Philmont is included in the spreadsheet for your reference. The main concern is blood pressure, it needs to be in a normal healthy range.

Summer Camp 2017

Its official... Troop 321 to attend Camp Three Falls. 
We will attend Week Three, commencing Sunday, July 23rd thru Saturday July 29th. 2017.
We need scouts and scouters to sign up this week. A $100 deposit is due by March 8th to hold your spot. The total cost per scout is $425. Adult scouters can attend with permission of the Scoutmaster (space is limited) cost per Scouter is $250.00 or $45 Per Night.
