Troop 321 is an American Legion Chartered Boy Scout Troop located in Mission Viejo, California.

Troop meetings are held weekly each Wednesday from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm at Del Cerro Elementary School.

2017 Range Days Posted to Calendar

Range Day is open to all Legionnaires, Scouts, and their family and friends 

We will meet at Concourse Park (Saddleback Ranch and Ranchwood, Portola Hills, Lake Forest) at 0800 to caravan to the range; or you can meet us there about 0930, if you can find it.  We return to Concourse Park about 1600.  Please arrange for your own transportation; carpooling is highly recommended. 

Uniform:  Weather can be extreme at this range, plan appropriately - shirt, pants or shorts, sturdy shoes, hat, eye and ear protection (we have them if you don't).  Do not wear sandals or your BSA Class A shirts.  Troop shirts are fine.  We have bathrooms, water, and picnic tables for your convenience.    

Bring your own lunch, drinks, and sun block:  Be prepared for extreme weather.  

For anyone under 18 without a parent present, a signed permission slip is mandatory.  Children under 11 are allowed only with their parent.  This is NOT a BSA event, except for those working on Merit Badges.

Cost is $25 for shooters - It includes firearms, ammunition, and targets.  Non-shooters = $0 (sign up as a guest).  Bring a check made out to American Legion Post 862 (NO CASH) the day of the event.  You may bring your own firearms and ammunition.  However, if you use any of the American Legion's equipment we ask that you pay the $25 fee to help us cover maintenance expenses.  Thank you.

Sandpit 2017

The date for Troop 634 Sandpit 2017 has been set! 

DATE: March 17 – 19, 2017

COST: $90.00 per participant – includes shooting supplies, campsite area, & port-a-potties. Each troop is responsible for their food and tents.

Changes in the availability and distribution of grant money and ammunition have resulted in some necessary modifications:

  • non-refundable deposit of $60.00 per participant will be required by November 1, 2016. There are a limited number of spaces available. There will be a waiting list and any cancellations will be filled from there.
  • One responsible adult for every 12 youth (or part thereof) will be required to assist in range supervision.
  • Balance payment will be due at the Safety Orientation held in the month before Sandpit.
